The Collaborative for Learning and Teaching catalyzes peer-to-peer dialogue, support, and inquiry to promote excellence in teaching at Trinity University.

We are a faculty commons that provides space and context for scholars to advance their teaching practice within an interdisciplinary learning community. We place high value on both creative ideation and experimentation study as drivers of pedagogical innovation for student learning and continuous improvement in the liberal arts. We recognize the central role that technology plays in shaping learning options and outcomes that are imaginative and meaningful.

To serve our mission we:

• Support the cross-fertilization of ideas and practices for effective teaching and learning through faculty learning groups, presentations, workshops, and scholarly communication.

• Provide instructional and curricular support to individuals, teams, and departments

• Offer incentives for pedagogical innovation, assessment, and scholarship through professional development grants

• Work with other Trinity offices and programs to support learning and teaching initiatives and projects
